Bubbles and Water guns: Jackson and Megan

The couple I am living with while doing my internship at the Cape Cod Times are possibly some of the nicest people I have ever met. Jude and Michael Williams are funny, smart and full of life. While they have many passions and hobbies, nothing compares to their love of being grandparents. As I go into my second week here, I have met the Williams' daughter and her adorable two children, Jackson and Megan. Jackson and Megan love their "Yummy and Papa" and are frequent visitors to the house. As many of you well know, I adore kids, especially ones that are this sweet and funny. Jackson is 5, going on 6, and Megan just turned 4. Jackson is the more sensitive one, but he is no push over; all boy and full of mischief. Megan only likes to wear dresses, however, she is a tough cookie and going to be quite a handful when she get into her teens. I have only spent time with Jackson and Megan twice, the day I moved in and this Sunday, but I can tell already that these two are going to be part of a lot of my memories this summer. Here are a bunch of pictures from today, which, by the way, was a gorgeous day. Enjoy!

Scenery

I've completed my first week of work and I have seen some beautiful landscapes. This is a very beautiful place and I cannot wait to explore more of it as the weeks go on. Enjoy.

And zoot alors- Here I am!

I am officially in Cape Cod and will be starting my internship this coming Monday. Two days of driving (one spent over night in the odd city of Utica, NY [see 1st pic for the cool restaurant we ate in when we stayed over in Utica]) with mom was very entertaining. I have been enjoying a few days wandering Hyannis, stopping by The Cape Cod Times and enjoying some great food (plus some shopping) with my mom. Now that my mom has headed back home I am enjoying some beach time and loving my room at the Williams' household in East Sandwich. My room looks like it has been taken out of my old Playmobile dollhouse. I really think I'm gonna like it here... :-)
WISH ME LUCK HERE... AND COME VISIT!!!

Peace. Love. Happiness.

Evan Young's Ordination

Evan Young was part of a story I never got to put up here (I'll get on that) about the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Athens. Young was officially honored and had his Ordination ceremony on Sunday, June 6, 2010. I went so I could see him be honored by his family, friends and congregation and also to give him a DVD of the whole story I did on UUFA in the Fall. The ceremony was beautiful and being back at UUFA felt good. Evan was really touched and everyone was so proud of him. I was so happy to have been there to witness it. It was a great finish to my final weekend in Athens...

Peace. Love. Happiness.

Kevin - Alternative Process

A bit late on posting this, got too caught up in Soul of Athens! Anyway, for the final photo assignment in portraiture we had to take a photo using an "alternative process". Polaroid, film (shocking, I know!), fish eye, camera phone, old cameras, etc. Josh Armstrong showed us a cool process in class where you used a Brownie camera and shot down through a cardboard tube with a digital camera. It was a bit of a bust and of course the lens I was supposed to use wouldn't work and I did not always end up using the tube. However, Kevin was a great and patient model. Enjoy some "alternative" photos. Per usual, the first one is the one I turned in for class.

Peace. Love. Happiness.
