92

Rachel Ivey Sutton Smith, my Grammy, turned 92. If I grow up to be half the woman she is, I'll be content.

Happy Birthday, Big Rach.
Love, Little Rach

Lone Girl At Sea

My other photo story began with focusing on the Dunbar Sea Cadets as a whole, but in the end was narrowed down to Danielle who is one of 4 girls in the Dunbar Sea Cadets program. Here is what it ended up looking like.

Lone Girl At Sea
Cadet Danielle Bruce, 12, is one of only 4 girls in the Dunbar Sea Cadets program in Dunbar, Scotland. She continues to go twice a week to the Sea Cadet practices because one day she hopes to join the Royal Navy.

"A Man of Few Words"

One of my photo stories I did on a Deafblind man named Desmond. Here was the final edit for class. Hope you enjoy!

"A Man of Few Words"
Desmond Smith, 64, is a Deafblind man in Edinburgh who not only holds a job and lives on his own but is also part of the Meccano Society where he builds meccano sets without seeing or hearing the directions. Smith has been Deaf since birth and has lost his sight slowly over the years and now relies on his interpreter Gina Lundie to take him out and about and keep him update on the world he lives in.

Final Edit of Soprano Sisters

So here is my final edit for my story on The Two Sopranos. Once again, they were just too much fun and I am so glad they let me into their lives while I was there. Enjoy, comment, etc.
Here was the summary for class:

Sister Act

Felicity Redman, 25, and Tiffany Redman, 21, have been buskers at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for teh past 4 years with their opera act called "The Two Sopranos". The girls are well known to the Fringe and are"The Face of the Fringe" this year. It is also their last year since Felicity will be getting married this fall and Tiffany is going back to school.
