Dancin' Dunbar
So like I said, super lucked out with meeting Gina at the salon and got to go to a Highland Dancing practice. The girls were super cool and the teacher was really nice and friendly. I love being here! Everyone is so friendly! Anyway, here are a couple of frames from that adventure to Cockburnspath. The color on the blog looks super desaturated, but you get the gist. Enjoy and comment!

Dunbar take 2
So our Thursday trip was to Dunbar. Again. At first we were all confused and kind of bummed, but it turned out to be a great day! It wasn't full of festival stuff and it was just its normal self which proved to be lovely and was probably one of the better days I have had here. The harbor seemed so empty without all the falderall, but it was just as beautiful. We had to do a 100 frames, no deleting, shoot on someone while we were there. I did a beautician names Charlene in the BEAUTY BAR doing a Gina's nails. Gina ended up being a great source of information since her Highland dance school is STILL have practice! I lucked out and according to Terry and Lyntha, I am the first person to ever get practice pix! I ended up going to her practice in a small village called Cockburnspath (pronounced Co-borns-path), also known as Copath. Once I go through those pix I will post them as well. Enjoy the ones for now though! Comment and know I miss you all! Cheers!

I went to Inverness and all I got was this piece of sea glass...
So we went to Inverness, in the Highlands for one of our group trips. On the 4 hour train ride there and the 4 hour one back, we saw lots of beautiful farms, scenery, monroes, etc., but once we got to Inverness we had 5 hours in a touristy town and we all kind of felt like we got shafted because while the town was nice, it wasn't those farms and the Highland cows we had thought it would be. We ended up walking around on the "island", throwing rocks, and just kind of bonding since we knew any story we'd find up there would be too much of a hassle to get there and actually do. Oh. And we didn't get to see Nessie. Sorry, Mal! We did laugh a lot and I really enjoyed spending time with my classmates and joking about the lack of ice cream. Seriously. Every town had like 5 ice cream shops and Inverness failed us. We were all pretty loopy on the way home. Here are some pix from the day along with one I took while we waited for the bus at night in Edinburgh.

Dunbar Lifeboat Festival
So we went to Dunbar for the Lifeboat Festival, which is quite the big deal. There is a Queen of the Festival, dancing, games, lifeboat races, and all sorts of fun to be had. It is a very nice seaside town with a teen Sea Cadets group and a fabulous tea room called William Smith. They have the BEST eclairs on the planet! And the tea was phenomenal as well. Why does tea taste so much better in the UK than back home? So here are some pictures from the day! Comment and know I miss you all!

Hoot Man! I'm in Scotland!
Wow! I've only been waiting on this trip for about 4 years now and now I am finally here and it is everything and more of what I was expecting. I'm a bit nervous and still confused about how everything here works, but sooner or later I hope to get it all down and come back with some awesome pictures. For now though I am just thrilled to be here. Most of you seeing this are seeing it due to my e-mails. Here are a few pix from the past couple of days I have been in Scotland. Feel free to comment!
